Profoundly deaf since birth, Steve is a Director at accessibility and inclusion consultancy Direct Access. He has led accessibility consultancy programmes on several mixed commercial and residential developments with a range of PBSA projects under way where disability accessibility is at the forefront. These include new builds in Kings Cross, Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.

Steve is a part-time PhD researcher at the University of Glasgow exploring accessibility in the public realm for Deaf or blind people and also sits on the Global Leadership Council for the International Association of Accessibility Professionals – certifying accessibility specialists globally.
