Sam has more than 30 years experience in the UK Higher Education Sector, working at the University of Nottingham, the University of London, and then with the University Partnerships Programme from 2000 to 2019. Sam held many statutory board positions, including Managing Director of its Facilities Management and Partnerships divisions, as well as chairing a number of the constituent companies set up with universities to manage the assets.

Sam began his own consultancy, FRAH Consulting Limited, in 2019 and has developed the residential strategies at the University of London and the University of Northampton, amongst other projects. Sam also works with Unipol as a Verifier for the ANUK Code of Standards for residential accommodation, not owned or operated by educational institutions
