Ashley John-Baptiste shares his compelling story of growing up in care and being shunted between foster homes and care homes as a child. Despite this start and his struggle with early years education, he went on to a world leading university and is now an in demand broadcaster. University allowed Ashley to redefine his future. Despite his own imposter syndrome and childhood wounds, university became a safe space away from the trauma of his childhood. Ashley will reflect on his own experience and the people who positively shaped his life. In doing so, he aims and hopes to encourage everyone in the room to realise their own potential in being able to set others up to overcome and achieve. Regardless of job title, designation or experience, everyone has a sphere of influence and the potential to uplift others. Ashley will leave you inspired and empowered!
