Nick has been actively involved in the urban residential sector for twenty years. He has a particularly strong interest in Build to Rent, as well as having been actively involved in the evolution of the UK student living sector for over 12 years. His knowledge of multigenerational rental living brings a unique, invaluable and often innovative approach to projects, to ensure maximum value is achieved for his clients throughout all aspects of the design and construction process.

He has worked with a wide and diverse range of private sector Developer, Investor and Operator clients; in addition he is increasingly working with public sector clients, predominantly through partnerships and frameworks.

Relevant clients Nick and his practice have worked with include: The Collective, Alumno Developments, Ballymore, Oxley Holdings, GSA, Liberty Living, Bouygues, Places for People, Scarborough Developments, Moda Living and Urban Splash.

Noteworthy projects Nick has been involved with recently include The Collective at Old Oak (a Co-Living Build to Rent development) and Park Hill in Sheffield; the largest listed building in Europe.

Nick is a Residential Council member for the Urban Land Institute in the UK and a founding Executive leader of the Sheffield Property Association; the first of its kind outside of the London, working closely with the London Property Alliance. Nick has spoken at multiple conferences in recent years, both in the UK and Europe.

Whittam Cox Architects are a 130 strong team based in the Sheffield City Region, with regional hubs in London and Leeds; their work spans Residential, Retail, Commercial and Leisure sectors. Two of their largest active projects are Royal Wharf in London for Ballymore and Middlewood Locks in Salford for Scarborough Developments.
