Bill founded ‘ZEDfactory’ in 1999 to focus on low carbon development,and completed the UK’s first zero fossil energy development in 2001. He has held visiting professorships at several academic institutions, won a Lafarge Holcim Gold Award in 2018 and was awarded an OBE in 2010 for services to sustainable housing design.
